The WHS Alumni Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to graduating seniors that live in Westerly and are pursuing careers in the trades.
The WASFI scholarship is offered annually to graduating high school seniors who are Westerly residents. Our goal is to provide meaningful financial assistance to students pursuing careers in trade-related professions.
Eligible pathways include apprenticeships, technical certifications or licensure, and associate's or bachelor's degrees. The award may be used toward tuition, books, computers, room-and-board, transportation, tools for the trades, and other educational expenses.
Our first scholarships were awarded to graduating Westerly High School seniors in June of 2014, and we've been growing our impact every year since. In 2025, we awarded over $8,000 in scholarships to Westerly students pursuing careers in the trades.
